Sadly we've had to postpone the Forest Bathing Workshop. Given the recent revised Covid guidelines limiting groups to 6 people, we've taken the decision to cancel the event for the 26th September. We plan to run this, on a date to be decided, in 2021. Please sign up to Sonya's mailing list on her website to be the 1st to know when the new date will be!

A Day in the Forest

Saturday 26th September 2020

10.30am - 3.30pm

Itchen Valley Country Park SO30 3HQ

The past months have thrown many challenges our way. Living in lockdown, having family around us 24/7, working from home, grappling with home-schooling, uncertainty about...well everything.

Feeling Stressed & Overwhelmed?

I'm guessing most of us are. If you enjoyed the slower pace at first, then struggled with the lack of alone-time as the weeks passed, it's likely you may be part of the 20-30% of the population who share the naturally-occurring trait of High Sensitivity. You're probably feeling more overwhelmed than others.

This 1-Day Workshop has been designed especially for you.

See it as a Spa Day in the Forest, much needed time away from the stress of your everyday life.

Join us to Experience Nature as Medicine for your Sensitive Soul.

If you're a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), your brain and nervous systems are wired differently. You'll be picking up and processing more information, which can easily lead to overstimulation (and raised cortisol levels), especially if you're not aware that you're an HSP.

The important thing to know is that you're not broken and certainly don't need to be fixed. You do, however, need to pay attention to self-care and consciously spend time doing things that lower your cortisol levels.

Connecting with nature through Forest Bathing is the perfect way to do this.

Numerous studies have shown Forest Bathing can:

  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Lower Stress and anxiety
  • Improve concentration and memory
  • Boost the immune system
  • Improve energy

As an HSP, taking active steps to recalibrate our highly responsive nervous systems and quieten our busy brains is essential for our well-being. Without consistent self-care, we can burn-out more easily than others due to the way we're built.

What To Expect

You'll spend the morning with Nina, learning about the key characteristics of the Highly Sensitive Trait. If you've always been told you're 'too sensitive' & to stop overthinking things, you'll understand these are only a small part of what being sensitive brings.

You'll be given information that will help you see your sensitivity as a gift & receive powerful techniques to help manage overwhelm.

There'll be time to ask any questions you have about being a Highly Sensitive Person.

After the morning session with Nina, we'll break for a delicious lunch.

You'll then spend the afternoon experiencing the healing benefits of a Forest Bathing session, led by Sonya.

Through a series of exercises, Sonya will help you slow down your mind and body, and engage your senses.

We'll be spending the entire time outdoors, breathing in the fresh air & benefiting from the healing properties of the Forest.

You'll leave feeling refreshed, connected to Nature and with a deep appreciation for your Highly Sensitive self.
